What’s your approach?
My goal is to tell your story, whether that’s your family, your senior, or this beautiful in-between season you’re in. My sessions are relaxed and easy, focused on connection and personality rather than perfection.
I’ll gently guide you so you feel comfortable in front of the camera, but mostly I want you to simply be yourselves. The laughter, the glances, the in-between moments — those are what make your photos feel real and unforgettable.
What should we wear?
Choose outfits that coordinate but don’t completely match. Think complementary colors, layers, and textures that feel like you. Avoid everyone in white, as it can wash out skin tones.
For families, I recommend choosing a color palette and dressing within that range — soft neutrals, earthy tones, or whatever fits your vibe.
For seniors, bring 2–3 outfits to show off different sides of your personality — something casual, something special, and something that just feels like you.
If you’d like visual inspiration, I’m happy to share examples of what photographs beautifully.
Where should we go?
The best sessions happen in places that mean something to you. That could be your favorite park, a Bainbridge Island beach, a Seattle city stroll, or even your own backyard.
For families, I love choosing spots where you can relax and play together.
For seniors, we’ll choose locations that reflect your interests, personality, or future dreams — from downtown textures to open fields or the coast.
As long as there’s good natural light, we can create something beautiful anywhere.
When is the best time for our session?
Lighting is everything! The soft golden light after sunrise or before sunset creates a beautiful, natural glow.
Morning sessions usually start about an hour after sunrise, while evening sessions begin 1½–2 hours before sunset.
What matters most is that everyone’s comfortable (and for families that means little ones AND teenagers are rested and fed!).
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
We live in Seattle, so a little rain is part of the story! ☔️ I always allow one complimentary reschedule if the weather just isn’t ideal. After that, we’ll roll with it — some of my favorite sessions have been on cloudy, misty days. There’s something about the softness of PNW light that makes photos extra magical.
Do you photograph weddings?
My heart and focus are with families, children, and high school seniors — but I do occasionally photograph intimate weddings or elopements.
If you’re planning a small celebration and feel like we’d be a good fit, reach out! I’d love to hear more about what you’re envisioning and see if we can make it happen.
Final Note
Whether we’re documenting your family’s connection or celebrating your senior’s milestone year, my goal is the same: to capture your people — just as they are — with heart, honesty, and joy.
